| Although relatively new to the market, Scythe, which first began its United States business operations in 2004, has already introduced a number of products that have been quite popular among PC enthusiasts. To secret to Scythe's success is a pretty simple formula; offer a product with a simple design that offers solid performance. Although many of Scythe's product aren't as flashy as other manufacturers, its high-class coolers are able to compete with leading products from Cooler Master, Thermaltake, and Zalman. ...... |

Dragon Steel Mods |
| The advancement of the CPU Cooler has not always evolved as quickly as that of the CPU itself. The original CPU coolers were passive devices comprised of either copper or aluminum heat sinks. As processors became hotter, fans were added to dissipate the heat that they produced...... |

PC Perspective |
| The new Scythe CPU cooler incorporates 5 heat pipes and is one of the largest heatsink Fans (HSF) on the market. It comes bundled with a 120mm low speed fan and includes mounting hardware that supports the majority of Intel and AMD platforms. This is currently in stock and available from our friends at CrazyPC for ..... |

ANANDTECH |
| Many readers have asked for a review of the Scythe and we recently received the latest version of the famous heatpipe tower. The certainly qualifies as something of a legend, but legends have not always performed as expected in our cooling tests at AnandTech. Does the live up to the performance goalpost set by the Tuniq Tower 120, or like all the others tested so far, does it fall somewhat short? Our goal is to find an answer to this question.

| According to Scythe this is their highest performing cooler. The is a fairly recent cooler that sports 10 heatpipes with many fins. There is also a thick aluminum heatsink at the base of the cooler to pick up any additional heat off the heatpipes and the copper base plate which rests above the CPU. At the top of the cooler you can see eight small grooves. Like the Andy cooler from Scythe, the 120mm fan that comes with the is mounted by wire clips which go into these grooves....... |

The Scythe is one big mother of a cooler. It offers awesome cooling performance and is a real alternative to watercooling.
In the past when I was testing at high overclocks I often had to install watercooling just to be sure the CPU air cooling is not limiting the overclock. Now I can just install the Scythe and get very similar results with much less time involved. Of course watercooling has a much bigger cooling potential, but it's also a bigger investment and more complex....... |

| In 2002, an Akihabara startup in Tokyo went into heatsink production. 4 years later today, almost every PC enthusiast know of their products. Scythe Co., Ltd. Japan has evolved from being known as the maker of the Kamakaze heatsink to being synonymous with monster overclocking tools like the Ninja (which was reviewed by floppy a while back and rated as the best heatsink at the time of writing)....... |

The Scythe SCINF-1000 is a huge cooler. Scythe themselves have a huge reputation to live up to. Will the Scythe match that reputation and perform well when used with a Conroe CPU? I take it to the test in the following review and see how it fares.
Scythe have made quite an impression of late in the cooling market. Their line of CPU coolers are really (pardon the pun) "hotting up" the heatsink market. With some great designs and more than a couple of heatpipes, enthusiasts are really digging what Scythe are all about....... |

Silent PC Review |

It's bigger! It's better! It's new and improved! It's yet another heatsink from Scythe. Not that it's a bad thing. Scythe seems to release a new heatsink every other month or so, and by and large, they're all pretty good.
The seems poised to pick up where the Ninja left off. The Ninja made its name by being bigger than any other cooler on the market, but the MUGEN is bigger in every dimension and 150 grams heavier to boot. Perhaps Scythe has something to prove — other manufacturers have built similar heatsink behemoths and the Ninja is no longer the undisputed leader it once was......

| I have being doing reviews for Scythe products for some time now. Most of the products have been very good products. One that comes to mind is the Ninja, a cooler that would be included on anybody’s top ten list. And then there is the Mine, another cooler that is a awesome low noise solution for people needing it. But today, I can honestly say that their newest cooler will put the these coolers to shame....... |

Scythe is well known in the CPU cooling realm. Their most famous product, the Scythe Ninja, is one of the best coolers on the market. Scythe plans on placing that bar a little higher with the Scythe.
The Scythe was in a square box and I was quite surprised by its size.......
